Hike

I went tramping in the foothills about a half mile away from the house. It turns out that there is a meandering canyon trail that leads to a little waterfall.

View of the city.

This is the edge of the trail - a sheer drop.

El Trail.

Mr. Parkinson

Mountains (For those in Florida - Mountains are like giant sand castles made of rock)

Me in the creepy tree tunnel.

The waterfall. Yes, it falls sideways.

Some guy in an orange shirt at the waterfall.

On the way back we found some deer invading the neighbors lawn. It was pretty cool, I mean urban deer, how often do you see that?

This deer kept trying to eat the guy's sprinkler head for some reason.

The rest of the deer family across the street.

Is it wrong that my first thought was how convenient it was for the deer to walk themselves right up to the barbecue?

Oh my God, Oh my God, I can hardly
stand it, I thought this was going
to be a trip to go down memory lane for you, the pictures are making it
memory land for me. I forgot how
I loved those LA mountain, hikes
and streams and all the time we spent
in them. They were all so close living in Sunland. Tell Joe he needs to consider going vegetarian.

Great pictures-----makes me yearn for CA.! The deer seem to keep the lawns nicely manicured - maybe, we should get some to replace you!! Nah, Timmy loves that "joyride" on the lawnmower. :O)

Oh, how I love those dry, craggy hills!! The deer were a nice touch. They seem to keep the lawns very well manicured. Beats taking out the mowers and blowers every couple of days in Fla.! So what if they chew up a couple of sprinkler heads - beats paying a lawn service, even if that service is your own kid! :O)
Tim is doing a great job on our lawn, by the way. However, he has not yet mastered your skill of reading and lawning!! Love your photos and comments........
