I made it to LA with no serious mishaps. We hit a lot of turbulence; the plane dropped a couple of times giving us all a chance to experience the excitement of zero g. But we made it, and no one threw up or anything.
We landed and I was thrilled to see that familiar layer of brown haze that I missed so much. Brown haze over brown dirt with lots of brown dead grass everywhere. It was beautiful, especially after living in the jungles of Florida. And there are mountains, big brown mountains. LA is fantastic. You don't realize how much you miss it, 'til you see it again.
I made it to my ultimate destination last night at 7:14 PM.
