Ski Masks - not just for bank robbers anymore.
Finally! After ten years of waiting, I got to go skiing again - and on the slopes of Mt. Doom no less. The weather has been miserable for a month, so the entire North Island came out to ski this weekend. The slopes were packed. But, I had a great time nonetheless. It took me a few rough falls to get my skillz back. But by the end of the day I would've been willing to try a black diamond, had I spent the money for an upper mountain lift ticket...

Seriously, the area is awesome! So desolate looking, austere and I can vaguely understand why they call it Mt. Doom. Must have been some catastrophic event that created that area! Glad you got to conquer Mt. Doom.........
Mount Doom... lol. Did the "Great Eye" come after you? Well I supose he was overthrown so I guess you lucked out there. I have never been skiing but it looks really cool. I'm waiting for you to go surfing (which I imagine will be some time), wonder if that shark will come back for seconds.

are so incredibly clear. Do they

It's not actually called Mt. Doom. It's called Mt. Ruapeho, but it served as the locale for the Mt. Doom scenes in the Lord of the Rings movies, and I thought "Skiing Mt. Doom" had a better ring than "Skiing Mt. Ruapeho"
